Mat Jensen, a popular dealer with the Dakota Poker Tour, entered the tournament just before registration ended and promptly went on to conquer the tournament! The Dead Money Open generated a prize pool of $20,000 with 110 unique players hosted at the M&J Saloon in West Fargo. Mat Jensen earned a seat in the DPT tournament of champions with the win, and jumped up to 4th place in the Player of the Year points race. Brandon Dosch cashed to move up the board to 2nd place only 405 points behind Erich Johnson. Thomas Gjerde from Willmar, MN played his first DPT event and cashed, fresh off a big $25,000 win taking down FPN's King Slayer promotion in Las Vegas.
