Local DPT player Bob Tweten took down the FPN Cash King championship event in Las Vegas on Feb 10th. Bob was League Champ at El Roco Bar last spring to automatically qualify for FPN's National Championship Series. While there, Bob missed in the League Champ freeroll but qualified his way through the Last Chance Cash Qualifier and went on to win the Main Event for a significant first place of $25,000. Other local players also the made it into the money. Rob Grubbs finished in 10th place playing out of slammers in Fargo, Allen Ziemann finished 15th playing out of the Amvets in Bismarck, Leonard Melgaard finished 17th from the 4 mile bar in Williston , Brandon Schmidt finished 19th from the bowler in Fargo. Steve Kreps finished 29th playing out of Olearys in Moorhead. Congratulations to everyone! The poker league is hosted at several area bars, the format has evolved over the years making it easier than ever for players to qualify for the national event. If you haven't played in the league in years or if you think it's a waste of time, ask Bob how it's going for him! Click here for FPN Locations in North Dakota
