Patrick Wingard takes down the first ever event in Bismarck at the Crossroads Tavern event for $3,650
Patrick Wingard from Mandan, ND came out to Crossroads Tavern in Bismarck to play in the first ever DPT event in Bismarck. With over sixty players Patrick was able to find his way to the final table, ending headsup with Valley City’s Jake Retterath. Jake was aggressive and chip leader most of the final table but had fallen to some bad luck. Jake's pocket nines went up against Patrick’s pocket queens. Patrick hit a queen on the flop and the rest is history.
DPT Coming to Bismarck
The DPT is gearing up for a 1-day event at Crossroads Tavern in Bismarck this Sunday with registration beginning at 11am and cards in the air at noon.
Nick Ingolfsland Outlasts Cody Slusher for Poker Brat Classic Title
Nick Ingolfsland from Fargo came out on top at the Poker Brat Classic at the Windbreak and scored $9,000 1st place win. 148 unique players entered the 2-day deep stack format. The action on the final table was live-streamed to Facebook Live and YouTube with Chris Hanson of Poker Night in America providing commentary to help bring the DPT back after a 1-year hiatus due to the Covid pandemic. Cody Slusher, Monster Stack Champion, placed runner up for $5,500 and took over the Season X points leaderboard.
